Since 1988 Teletrix has developed realistic simulations of radiation detection instruments and probes as well. This type of simulation serves a need in industries where training on the use of radiation detection instruments is required or desired. Requirements for such training may be based on job task analysis where a job task is “use a radiation detector”. It may also be required by industry regulations. This training may also be desired by industries whose training is not driven by job task analysis or regulation but by the necessity for realistic training in such hazardous fields that require use of a radiation detector. |

Teletrix is a small business located east of the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the suburb of Plum. This office serves as the base for our sales, production and design efforts. We also employ the assistance of local subcontractors in assisting our production and design efforts. Collaborative arrangements with skilled business partners adds up to cost-effective realistic training simulators for our customers’ training needs. |

With an impressive list of professional customers dedicated to their training, we have been able to help fill the training gap that existed between the classroom and the job in many areas of employment. That gap is realism. There is no substitute for being there and our simulators put trainees right there. In a controlled, non-hazardous environment with no risk of exposure, trainees see the meter movement and alarms, hear the count rates and alarms and experience the subsequent responses of a radiation detector to their actions. No argument can be provided against these benefits of simulation in radiation training. And the history of our simulators with our customers reveals that. Simulation makes a better trained, prepared and performing worker who is highly equipped to operate in a safe and efficient manner. |
