Text Box: 3rd Generation Electronics Upgrade

What is this upgrade?

· A fixed price program to update the electronics of any simulated meter we’ve produced.  Keeping your inventory at state of the art without having to retool with new capital equipment.

· A replacement of electronics to enhance the operation of the radio section and in older models the entire simulation method.

· An improvement of the radio transmission and reception quality of simulator data by using a 900 MHz FM radio section.

· A program that also repairs non-working simulators along with the upgrade.

Text Box: Simulator Upgrade Program

Why choose the upgrade?

· Upgrades the 27 MHz AM radio section with a 900 MHz FM set to improve coverage, reliability, durability and flexibility.  This FM radio alleviates some common issues associated with low-frequency AM broadcast particularly in highly reflective or electrically noisy or confined spaces and areas.

· Allows varying channel assignment to each simulator set with 8-channel user selectability allowing 8 simulator sets to be operated in common areas independent of each other.  This also eliminates the fixed-frequency of previous generation simulators.  Change frequencies as required.

· Upgrades batteries to new NiMH (Nickel Metal-Hydride) type yielding greater life and run time.  Gives the option of using alkaline batteries instead of NiMH in the simulators only.

· Upgrades battery chargers to NiMH compatibility for shorter 7-hour full-charge time, no memory build-up and longer run time of 16 to 20 hours on a charge.

· Designs include program variations allow for 1st generation and 2nd generation owner’s that have simulators dating back to 1989 to upgrade meters versus buying new meters at varying price entry points.

· Increases error detection capability and realism in count rate generation due to updates in microprocessor programming (applicable to models made prior to 1997).

· Allows for program funding from maintenance budgets versus capital equipment budgets.
